No.18 was previously No.34 and No.20 was No.32.
1859. MCC BR: Hornby and Pigdon to build 2 dwelling houses for Chas. Ebden.
1860. Occupants listed: Woodville and Jones.
1861. Chas. Ebden - owner. Occupiers: No.18 Woodville. For No.20 Francis James, till 1876. He was Commissioner for Audit.

Jolimont, Wellington Parade South 141, 143, 145

Description: 

Double fronted, single storey house.  Rendered.  Verandah

History: 

The address of this house was originally 65 Jolimont Parade, in 1890 it became 141 Wellington Parade South.  It is now known as 143-145, while a property to the rear has been given the number 141.

Trinity Hall School 1905

Group photo of Trinity Hall School, East Melbourne, 1905. The teacher shown in the photo is Etta Stoddart. A pupil with the initials 'I J H A' is standing in the second row, second from the right. This is undoubtedly Isabelle Josephine Handfield Andersosn (1894-1984) who lived all her life at 20 Jolimont Terrace.  The school was run by Miss Dougharty.

Group photo of Trinity Hall School c.1911.  The reverse of the photo indicates that 'I J H A' (Isabelle Josephine Handfield Anderson) was the original owner of the photo. She has written that she was not present, nor 'L B R', nor 'C O W'. The head mistress was Miss Dougharty.

A short speech given by Richard Blandy on the occasion of a Christmas Drinks party held at the Hilton Hotel, Wellington Parade, by the East Melbourne Group for its members on 15 November 1994. Richard Blandy and his wife, Ros, lived at 90 George Street for nearly three years before returning to Adelaide. Richard talks of daily life in East Melbourne and why it is such a good place to live.
