1870. No.115 E. Taylor, owner/occupier. No.117 E. Taylor, owner? J. Ellershank, occupier.
1873. No.115 E. Taylor, owner/occupier. No.117 E. Taylor, owner? Mathew Lang, occupier.
1885-1909. William Leyden Ker and his widow occupied No. 115.

1858. Nos. 121 to 125 were probably numbered earlier as Nos. 82, 80, 78 in that order.
1858. MCC BR: George Clayton, of No. 76 (probably old number) George Street, for self 3 houses. The builder Clayton lived behind terraces, at old No. 76.
1860. MCC BR: George Clayton for self, 3 kitchens.
1860. Earliest resident at No.121 appears to have been Rev. James Mirams.

1853. MCC BR: Frederick Richardson to build for Balcombe.
1855. Name mentioned: Alexander Balcombe.
1855 onwards. 'Eastcourt' was the home of Alexander Beatson Balcombe, grandfather of Dame Mabel Brookes. He died there in 1877 and his widow occupied the property till her death in 1907. The name was later changed to 'Lanivet'. The East Melbourne Library now occupies this site.

1857. MCC BR: George Clayton, for self, wood building, kitchen and stabling at old No.76 (now 125a). This is at rear of Nos. 123-5 (old Nos. 80-78) in George Street.
1858 and 1861. Name mentioned: G. Clayton.
1875. MCC BR: Re-building works.
1880. MCC BR: R. Clayton for self - additions.
1919-21. Was called 'The Villa' (see further notes against No.125b).

1852. Crown Lot 17, Section 16, George Street purchased by Mathews.(This may not be correct - subsequent entry for 1888c).
1856c. Mention of: Small 2-storey brick house in backyard of No.125 George Street.
1888c. Clayton apparently sold 125a and 125b to Joseph Mathew, who owned Nos. 129 and 135 next door.

1852. Crown Allotment 17, Section 16 on which 129 (old No. 74) and 135 stand, purchased by Joseph Mathews.
1853c. Mathews had 2 cottages at back of 129 and 135, numbered 131 and 133. No.131 still exists, No.133 has been demolished. No.131 was possibly commenced in 1853.

1854. MCC BR: C. MacMahon, to build house for self. (Note: old No.2 George Street).
1855. Name mentioned: Capt. McMahon.
1857c. Capt. (later, Sir) Charles McMahon lived here, until his death in 1891. A police officer, politician, he was also at various times Chief Commissioner of Police, M.L.A., Minister and Speaker. He was a pillar of Trinity Church.
