Shows St Patrick's Cathedral from the corner of Gisborne Street and Cathedral Place. The spires were not completed until 1939. Next door to the right is St Patrick's College. One only of two matching towers is visible. The second tower, out of frame, is now the only remnant of the former school. Over the roof of this school is another school, Presbyterian Ladies College, distinguishable by its turret.
The small church immediately to the left of the cathedral is the New Church (Swedenborgian), now a private residence. To its left, and on the extreme margin, is the Victorian Artists Society.
