Vertical file The original Holy Trinity Church was built in 1864 and was in George Street, East Melbourne, near the corner of Clarendon Street. On New Year's Day 1905 the church was completely gutted by fire.

The photo shows firemen hosing down the interior of the building, with some interested onlookers standing in the background.
