A colour postcard. Published by Valentine & Sons and printed in Great Britain, c.1905.

The view is possibly taken from the Trades Hall building in Victoria Street.  It shows on the skyline at the left St Vincent's Hospital, in the middle the watch-tower of the Eastern Hill Fire Station and on the right St Patrick's Cathedral. On each side of the watch-tower are two low, square towers belonging to the Eye and Ear Hospital fronting Morrison Place.  Immediately in front of St Patrick's is St Peter's Church and to the left of it is the Salvation Army Printing Works in Albert Street.  Below these two buildings, and in the middle distance, is the Model School with the Greek temple-like portico and two wings to the side.  The Model School used to be on the island site now occupied by the Royal College of Surgeons.
