MOULE, Walter James

Biographical notes: 

Walter James Moule was born in East Melbourne on 6 February, 1889,  the fourth child of James Bush Moule (1854-1926) and his wife Emma Edith, nee Archer (1854 -1912).  He had three sisters Annie Louisa (1884-1960), Edith Miriam (1887-1947) , and Florence Amelia(1891-1966) and three broters Herbert Charles (1894-1895) Frederick William (1897-1958) and Arthur John (1885-1958).

MUIR, Stanley Keith

Biographical notes: 

Stanley Keith Muir was born at Ascog, Orrong Road South, Elsternwick on 8 April 1892.  He was the youngest child of John Franklin Muir and his wife, Josephine, nee Holmes. He had two brothers and four sisters.

MURPHY, Thomas Michael

Biographical notes: 

Thomas Michael Murphy enlisted on 9 August,1916. Born in Bridgewater, near Portland, Victoria, he was aged 25 and described himself as a Cycle and Motorcycle Mechanic. He was a married man, his wife, Mary Anne Murphy being listed on his papers as his next of kin, living at 478, and later 472, Albert St., East Melbourne. They had two children, a boy, Leslie, and a girl, Nesta.

NATHAN, Edley William

Biographical notes: 

Edley William Nathan enlisted on 3 February, 1916. He was the younger son of  Simeon and Emma (nee Aplin) Nathan, and he one brother, Harold, and three sisters, Eliza, Lilian and Stella. His father appears to be the owner of Paterson's Pty Ltd. Complete Home Furnishers of 152-154 Bourke St., Melbourne, a store which burnt down in 1929.
