1855. MCC BR: Linacre and Williams for selves, 2 houses. Site is on corner of Clarendon St.
1856. Names mentioned: R.S. Petrie and Major Danberghy.
1857. MCC BR: Abraham Linacre for self 2 houses.
1857. Names mentioned: Mrs. Barr and Mr. Burton.
1858. Names mentioned: Miss Draper, Jas. Bell, J.H. Wood, Dr. Brewer. 4 brick houses.

East Melbourne, Wellington Parade 118, Rolyat

Description: 

Large two storey house, currently used for a medical clinic.

History: 

The original house built for W.T. Trollope, solicitor, was single storey. The Rate Books up until 1867 give his name as the owner and occupier, and then the owner becomes T.W. Trollope, also a solicitor, until 1881. During the latter's ownership the house was rented out. It would appear that the two owners were in fact one and the same. Other members of W.T.

Illustrated panel prepared by volunteers from the East Melbourne Historical Society as part of an exhibition,For King and Country, commemorating the centenary of the commencement of the First World War. It is one of 16 panels, each of which provides a life story, with relevant images, of men and women who served in the war and who had connection with East Melbourne or Jolimont.

A collection of 14 digital images relating to the Wood family of Woodlawn, 54 Powlett Street, East Melbourne.
James Wood commissioned Blackwell and Dalton to build Woodlawn for him and his wife, Mary, in 1889. Their portraits are etched into the glass above the vestibule door. James was a principal in Wood Dunn & Co. Market Street, dairy produce merchants.
