A review of the book, Certain Amissions, by Gideon Haigh. The book tells the story of John Bryan Kerr who was gaoled for the murder by strangulation of his girl friend. The author revisits the case and casts some doubt on the verdict. John Bryan Kerr was the son of Donald Wallace Kerr, one of East Melbourne's WW1 soldiers, see link below. One of the policeman involved in the case, 'Bluey' Adams was at one time a resident of East Melbourne.
