The photo shows two East Melbourne Cricket Club medallions. The earlier, 1912-1913, is on the right. The medallion on the left is for the Hawthorn-East Melbourne Cricket Club. The two clubs merged after the closure of the East Melbourne Cricket Ground in 1921.
The East Melbourne Cricket Ground was sited on the corner of Jolimont Road and Wellington Parade South until 1921 when it was replaced by the Jolimont railway shunting yards; now the site of Wellington Gardens.
