James and Catherine were married in St Patricks Cathedral Melbourne 28/02/1870.
They built Doontallie, 1121 Hoddle Street in 1870.
Hubert was the Sacristan (Sexton) at St Patricks Cathedral for 56 years until his death in 1951. A pillar in the cathedral bears a plaque in his memory. He lived at 100 Simpson Street which he built in 1907.
