Ferries on the Yarra by Colin Jones tells the story of ferry travel on the Yarra from the earliest days of white settlement and covers the stretch of river from Studley Park to the Docks. Many of the ferries travelled along the East Melbourne section of the river and Brander's Ferry, in particular, provided river crossings before the advent of the Swan Street Bridge. There is a chapter on the Henley Regatta which stretched all the way from the Anderson Street Bridge to Princes Bridge. Many black and white photos. Index.
