Jolimont, Jolimont Street 050 - Burchett

1878. MCC BR: G.W. Freeman to build house for George Walstab. Mr. Lloyd Taylor, of Little Collins Street to be architect.
1880. Geo. Walstab - owner/occupier. Brick, 10 rooms. Name also mentioned Hurtle Fisher, as occupier.

Jolimont, Jolimont Street 078, 080

'Park Terrace' consisted of 5 houses originally.
1871. MCC BR: Neil Hutton to build 5 houses for W. Murphy, corner Agnes Street.
1873. Occupants: James A. Devenish, Andrew Scott, Charles Bright, Alexander Cumming, John McA Wright.
1880. Wm. Murphy - owner. Each brick and 7 rooms. Occupiers - Mrs. Thompson, Miss Barlow, G.H. Fisher, S. Black, H. Keffel.

Saving Caspar: how a vet got a tick of approval

Newspaper article in The Age, 13 December 2011. The story is told of Caspar, an East Melbourne pet Tibetan spaniel cross. Caspar was bitten and brought near to death by a tick of a type rare in Melbourne. The problem was eventually correctly diagnosed by local vet Bill Ryan and Caspar was given a new lease on life.
