Simpson Street from Vale Street

The photo looks north from Vale Street across Wellington Parade to Simpson Street, East Melbourne. On the left is the police station built in 1956 for the Melbourne Olympics and now demolished. On the corner of Simpson Street an old post box still stands next to its modern equivalents. On the right is Eastbourne House built in 1903 as a private hospital and home for Dr.
