                    Digital archive        A paper on the life and work of Dr Adam Cairns (1802-1881), clergyman and theologian, and founding father of the Presbyterian Church in Melbourne. He established Chalmers Church, its first place of worship, on Eastern Hill. After his death Cairns Memorial Church in Powlett Street, East Melbourne was built in his memory. The paper was presented at a meeting of the East Melbourne Historical Society by Max Griffiths MBE on 18 April 2018.
