Digital archive Obituary for Patricia Kennedy OBE, actor. After leaving school Kennedy enrolled at Maie Hoban's school of drama in East Melbourne. In 1938 Maie Hoban moved her school from Elwood to a space in what the Australian Dictionary of Biography describes as “a workroom in the grounds of St Peter’s Church of England, Eastern Hill, which she converted into a small theatre – the Pilgrim Theatre.” It appears this would have been in the old school building behind the vicarage in Albert Street.
