It's now a couple of days are the first weekend of finals. During the preceeding week the news had been full of dire warnings of heavy rain and flooding for the weekend which turned out to be very accurate.

Did the MCG Trust exercise its responsibilities to close the park to protect it from further damage? No.

The park is awash with churned up mud from the uncontrolled parking.Walking on this slippery surface is very precarious, even with no cars around.
