Bland Holt and 19th century theatre

Newspaper clipping about the Break a Leg exhibition held at the City Museum in June 2009. Artefacts from 19th century theatre were on show. Amongst the theatre people represented was Bland Holt (1851-1942) who lived at Mere House, 176 Wellington Parade c.1904-c.1919. He was a flamboyant theatrical producer whose shows were spectacular if not entirely accurate in detail.
