Copy of obituary of Fred Williams, artist, written by Barbara Blackman for the The Bulletin. It tells of Blackman's first meeting with Williams at their house in East Melbourne. Charles and Barbara Blackman lived in a small cottage behind 129 George Street in 1951. File also includes copy of letter from Barbara Blackman to Margaret Slaney, dated 25 May 1982. The letter expands on her memories of living in the cottage. She mentions working as a model for Ola Cohn, sculptor, who lived at 41-43 Gipps Street, East Melbourne, and Charles painting pictures of children in the playground in Gipps [Grey]Street.
