Photograph taken in 1913 of Alix Lamandé with her hand resting on a piano stool. Alix was a music teacher residing with her father, Ambrose Lamandé at Amorique, 115 Hotham Street, East Melbourne. Ambrose lived there from 1906 until 1919.

The Argus of 11 October 1913 reported on a recital she had given the previous night at the Athanaeum, coinciding with the date of the photograph: " ... Miss Alix Lamande, who has done much creditable work as a pianist in students' displays, came forward in a more serious way at a recital in the Athanaeum hall last night .... In general Miss Lamande made an agreeable impression with an ambitious programme, which comprised, inter alia, Beethoven's C sharp minor Sonata, and Schubert's B flat variations.... These apart (a couple of technical failings the journalist identified) however, she is a player of decided promise ...."

Alix went to France in 1919, and is believed to have never returned to Australia.
